Located in the main street of Sowerby, The Limes is ideally situated within walking distance of Thirsk Town Centre where you can access bus services and travel to nearby towns and cities such as York and Ripon and Easingwold. We are an excellent starting point for visiting the coast and other nearby attractions such as Fountains Abbey and Newby Hall. Thirsk also has a railway station on the main line which is 10 minutes away from the Limes by car for travel further afield.
We have four double units and nine single units, all of which have ensuite facilities, a small kitchenette and views over the garden or the Hambleton Hills. The house lift has recently been refurbished and alarm call system renewed. All areas throughout the house have been redecorated and newly carpeted.
Our house offers you a warm and friendly welcome in a peaceful and caring environment. We want all of our residents to feel completely at home, so encourage you to bring along your most treasured possessions and photographs to make your room just how you want it.
Here at The Limes we serve morning coffee each day which is a great meeting point for residents to have a catch up and spend some time together. Fortnightly armchair keep fit classes help everyone to remain flexible and active, along with our other events such as group talks, choirs and quizzes. Each day after lunch our residents come together, chatting about their morning over and cup of tea and some like to complete a crossword or two together.
We also enjoy the occasional shopping trip or an outing to a local garden centre. Special events are celebrated at The Limes and often include parties, special themed lunches and garden parties, we really don't need any excuse for a celebration!
Our team are dedicated and caring and help to ensure that all who live here feel valued, happy and safe and have a thoroughly enjoyable time at the Limes.
