Our location
Welcome to Wey Valley House, a purpose-built residential care home nestled in the scenic town of Farnham, Surrey. Originally constructed in 1985 and completely refurbished in 2008, our home provides a welcoming and comfortable environment where residents can relax and engage in social activities.
Conveniently located on the outskirts of Farnham town centre, Wey Valley House enjoys easy access to a nearby bus route and train station, connecting residents to both the local area and London. Situated alongside the tranquil River Wey, our home offers a serene setting, perfect for relaxation and enjoying the fresh air. Residents can take advantage of direct access from our garden to the river's towpath, which leads to the many facilities within the Georgian town centre.
At Wey Valley House, our dedicated team of staff is committed to developing the well-being of each resident through personalised support and care. We work tirelessly to ensure that every individual receives tailored care with a focus on their overall happiness and fulfilment.
Our rooms
Our home features 26 well-appointed bedrooms, across the ground and first floors. Each bedroom is a single room with en-suite facilities, including a toilet, hand basin, while some also benefit from having their own showers.
Each room enjoys plenty of natural light, enhancing the inviting atmosphere. The bedrooms are tastefully decorated, carpeted, and equipped with free-standing wardrobes and call bells for added peace of mind. We also encourage residents to bring their own furniture, allowing them to create a familiar and cosy space that truly feels like home. Stay connected with loved ones through our Wi-Fi access in the home.
Communal spaces
Wey Valley House has beautiful gardens with a patio area overlooking the river, creating a tranquil outdoor retreat for residents. Well-maintained mature trees, interesting shrubs, and flowering tubs add to the picturesque surroundings. Our home features two lounges and a spacious dining room, providing ample space for residents to socialise, get to know each other, and connect indoors.

Residential Care Home
What our residents say
“My father has been a resident of Wey Valley House since 2016. He is extremely deaf but the care staff have been so careful to always include him in all the activities and day to day things and they take great care when he needs assistance with his personal care. If there is a medical problem someone always rings me to explain that they've contacted the surgery and they will keep me informed. Recently my father had a fall in his room, fortunately he didn't hurt himself but a doctor was called and my father had a check-up and a member of staff rang me to discuss the situation. This year has been exceptional and all the staff have worked so hard to not only look after the residents but to entertain them as well. I cannot thank them enough and I am grateful to them for the care and understanding they give to my father and in turn, to me,”
Anne, daughter of a resident
“My Mother has been a resident in Wey Valley House for three years and during her time there has become increasingly more frail. She now requires a great deal of care both during the day and during the night. The staff at her home have been excellent in their care for her, ever patient and helpful in dealing with her needs especially now in this very difficult pandemic year where many of the support activities have been curtailed. She has very high standards and the staff have always been aware of this and treated her with kindness and humour. I will always be glad that she found a place at Wey Valley where she is kept comfortable and as happy as she can be. I would unreservedly recommend Abbeyfield Wey Valley to anyone.”
Penny, Daughter of a resident
“My relative has received excellent care during her two years living at Wey Valley House. The staff are warm, friendly and caring, whilst also being professional and efficient. If I have any requests or concerns they are acted upon immediately. I am confident that my relative is safe and content. Pre COVID the outings and activities were excellent. Since the restrictions, this has been more difficult but activities are still taking place safely. I would recommend Wey Valley House to anyone seeking residential care.”
