Features
Located on Kilwinning Road in Irvine, Abbeyfield House care home was opened in 1975 by members of the Rotary Club of Irvine as a supportive house with seven rooms. In 1995 a two storey extension was built providing 22 ensuite rooms and the building was newly opened in 1997. A further four bedrooms were added to the house in 2006, a lounge extension was later added and an enclosed garden deck area.
Abbeyfield House Irvine is a family home with beautiful period features throughout the house. Our enclosed decked garden area is available for all residents who wish to do some gardening or simply enjoy the outdoors in a secure area. We have a relaxing sensory room complete with light features and peaceful sounds which is available for those who enjoy spending some quiet time to themselves.
The house is located close to the town and we feel it is important for our residents to stay a part of their local community as much as possible by having outings to the town, going for meals and participating in local events such as the Marymass festival.
We have a dedicated activities team encouraging residents to pursue their personal hobbies by having regular activities available to them within the house.
This house is managed by the Abbeyfield Irvine & District Society.
