Uxbridge Society Ltd
The Abbeyfield Uxbridge Society was formed in 1974 by local volunteers. Our first sheltered house was opened in Uxbridge, in 1976, with six residents.
Then, in 1983, we opened three new purpose-built houses in Hayes for a total of 30 older people, and the original site in Uxbridge was closed.
Following extensive refurbishment and upgrading, starting in 2007, with completion in 2010, the three houses have now been combined into one fully accessible community of residents, all under one roof, with greatly improved communal areas and superior modern facilities to enhance their daily living.
