Loughton Society Ltd
Visit our website.
Our sheltered house was owned by a Mr John Rider, an optician working in the local community, who gifted the property to the local Abbeyfield Society on his death - and Rider House was born.
Some years later an extension was added to the house, which enables us to offer accommodation to nine residents. We are very proud to be able to say that it still retains that small family feel - excellent quality yet still very warm and friendly.
If you are interested in becoming a resident, we welcome you to spend a few nights at the home. It is very important to us that you - and the trustees - feel that that a move to Rider House is the right decision.
Short Stays
We are happy to offer our respite room for short stays, so if you are visiting relatives or friends in the area and are looking for somewhere to stay, please contact us for details.
