About Lancaster Society
We run a care home on a not-for-profit basis, providing elderly people with support and care in later life.
Our home Chirnside House is a registered care home. The Abbeyfield organisation, which the Lancaster society are part of, has grown to be one of the largest organisations in the voluntary sector serving older people.
The Abbeyfield Lancaster's home is run by both volunteers and paid staff, each dedicated to making sure every resident feels at home and is supported in all their needs.

Our home
Chirnside House
Our home was built in 1994 with extensions added in 2004 and 2008. We provide care for older people and people with dementia and believe in promoting independence, whilst delivering high quality standards of care. All of our rooms are en-suite and we encourage all of our residents to bring their own furniture with them to make it feel like home.
