Burnham & Highbridge Society
The Burnham & Highbridge Society was formed in the 1970s. Much fundraising was done in order to purchase the large well-built detached house, situated one road back from the esplanade on the seafront in Burnham.
The house was upgraded to en-suite bathrooms about 20 years ago, and we have always had a continuous programme of refurbishment to ensure high standards of accommodation.
Burnham & Highbridge is now run by one town council. Volunteer committee members take an active part and meet with the staff regularly to ensure the smooth running of the house, and our dedicated staff and volunteers work hard to maintain high standards of accommodation, companionship and support.

Our home
Abbeyfield Woodlands
We provide a peaceful, friendly atmosphere where residents can remain as independent as possible. It's a home from home with support when you need it from our professional and caring house staff and volunteers.
It has eight large en-suite bed sitting rooms in total on two floors, each with their own kitchenette.
