Our home, Abbeyfield House, is a sheltered home for older people where we aim to provide a peaceful, friendly atmosphere. Residents are encouraged to remain as independent as possible and are encouraged to make the house their home.
The Brecon Society has a 15 year history and we are located very close to the centre of Brecon’s market town. Our society was set up to provide elderly people with sheltered living accommodation and was the first Welsh Society to achieve the Gold Star standard, as well as having a 5 star food hygiene rating.
Today we are proud of its popularity in the local community - there's currently a waiting list for rooms - and the way in which our staff offer the residents a home from home that they love.

Abbeyfield House
Purchased in 1997 by the Abbeyfield Brecon Society, Abbeyfield House is in a very friendly community with stunning views of the Brecon Beacons. We have twelve flats which are all en-suite and come with a kitchen area allowing you to remain independent and prepare light meals and snacks at your convenience. Our home is close by to a friendly town with many shops, theatre and cinema, as well as a beautiful Cathedral.

An exciting new opportunity for a mature couple or single person, to live alongside our 12 residents but in the comfort of your own 3 bedroomed cottage, being able to take advantage of what Abbeyfield has to offer.
The cottage is undergoing a complete refurbishment, including a brand new fitted kitchen and shower rooms.
