Super trooper Betty Bromage, aged 90, has this month completed her first ever zip line challenge on the world's fastest zip line in Wales.
Travelling at speeds of up to 80mph, Betty said, " It was outstanding; one of the best challenges I have ever undertaken and I can't wait to do it again".
"It was such a great ride, especially as the sun was shining and I was able to see the wonderful countryside in this part of Wales. People think these challenges hurt the elderly, but you land on a flat surface with lots of people present who help you dismount from the equipment. Fabulous is an understatement".
It seems Betty's need to speed knows no bounds as just last month, Betty took on her fourth wing walk in Gloucestershire and is planning to complete an abseil in Cheltenham in Autumn.
Whilst Betty is having the time of her life completing these adrenaline-fuelled challenges, it's all for a good cause.
"I'm raising money for a much needed summer house at my Abbeyfield home. Our current one has seen better days so I'm fundraising to build a brand new summer house for all of my fellow residents to enjoy."
