2017 marks the fifth year of our partnership with worldwide tour operators Riviera Travel, and we’re absolutely delighted to be celebrating this continued relationship.

Riviera Travel has supported Abbeyfield across the half-decade with donations; each one being made when one of our supporters books a holiday, cruise or tour with them.

So far, the partnership has brought in close to £3000 for Abbeyfield and this helps in our pledge to making later life a fulfilling and meaningful time for those who live with us. Be it through our new developments, resident’s funds or helping us to run our annual campaigns, this money goes a long way to helping the UK’s older communities.

Alan Heppell is a trustee of Abbeyfield Winchester, and both he and his wife are looking forward to their third tour with Riviera Travel later this year. They’ll be joining the escorted tour of Peru (let’s hope they’re ready for the steps on Machu Picchu) and have previously been to Vietnam and Cambodia. They particularly enjoy the group tours and meeting lots of new people, and the itineraries offered for tour locations are incredibly detailed and inclusive.

Every time Alan books a trip through Riviera, he mentions Abbeyfield and this generates a donation to us. Thanks to the partnership with Riviera, this will continue to happen!

“We are very much looking forward to another tour with Riviera Travel later this year. We had an amazing holiday in 2015 and knowing that a donation to Abbeyfield is made when we book makes the memories even fonder. “ - Alan and Anna

“We, like many people, enjoy good holidays. Riviera is one of the companies we use most. All we need to do is mention Abbeyfield when we book – something we shall certainly do from now on.” - The Right Revd Dr Stephen Venner DL
